Product details
A fire brick or refractory brick is a block of refractory ceramic material used in lining furnaces, kilns, fireboxes, and fireplaces. A refractory brick is built primarily to withstand high temperature, but will also usually have a low thermal conductivity for greater energy efficiency. There are various types of Fire bricks in depending on the variable content of Alumina in a brick. Higher the Alumina content highter the heat withstand capacity and lesser the rate of corrosion. These firebricks come in standard but variable dimensions(as precribed by the manufacturing co.) as per the application. The tapered fire bricks are used to make arch or circular brick lining depending on the radius of the required kiln.(as shown in photo) The Alumina content varies from 38% to 80% on the type of fire brick selected for application.
